A Schuylkill County resident has been charged with a dog law violation.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a dog owned by Shawn Wootten, 40, of Blackhawk Drive, Auburn, Wayne Township, crawled under his fence into the yard of Terry Stank, 56. Once inside the yard the dog attacked Stank's dog and also bit Stank.Troopers said Stank sustained two bite wounds to his hand and his dog suffered multiple bite wounds to its legs.Wootten was charged under the state dog law, troopers said.
