State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a gun from a parked vehicle.

Troopers said the 1994 Pontiac Firebird of Joanne Rodgers, of Ashland, was entered while parked across from 1406 Railroad St., in Maizeville, Gilberton. Entry was gained by smashing the passenger side window. Removed from the car as a Harrington & Richardson .22-caliber, seven shot revolver.The theft occurred sometime between April 4 and 13, troopers said.
