An arrest was made in a burglary at a Schuylkill County business not long after the entry occurred.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at the Topstar restaurant, 1629 E. Grand Ave. (SR209), Tower City, in Porter Township. Troopers said a white male approached the front of the business and used a towel and pry bar to smash the front glass door. He then entered th business and pried open the cash register with the pry bar. He was unable to obtain any items from the register so he turned around and placed numerous packs of cigarettes into a trash bag.He then fled on foot headed south on 209.As a result of an investigation troopers said Herbert J. Seifrit, 49, no address given, was arrested for the burglary. He was arraigned before District Judge Carol Pankake, of Tremont, on burglary and related counts and placed in the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $25,0000 bail.
