A Schuylkill County woman was killed Thursday when her sports utility vehicle crashed head-on into a truck.

State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the victim as Linda Rickert, 64, of Tower City. The accident occurred about 12:32 p.m. along SR209 (West Grand Avenue), in Porter Township.Troopers said Rickert, operating a 2013 Ford Escape, owned by EAN Holidngs LLC, was northbound while Glenn William Goss, 60, of McVeytown, Mifflin County, was southbound operating a 2009 Ford F750 truck, owned by the Bank of America.For unknown reasons Richert crossed the center line and struck the truck head-on with her vehicle.Rickert was pronounced dead at the scene by county deputy coroner Joseph Pothering.Goss was taken by ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, troopers said. A passenger with Goss, Joey Franklin Booher, 41, also of McVeytown, refused medical treatment.Both drivers' were wearing seatbelts and speed did not appear to be a factor, troopers added.The road was closed in both directions for about three and a half hours until the investigation was completed.
