Pocono Raceway to host E-Waste recycling event

Over the last few years, Pocono Raceway has placed a major emphasis in helping the environment become more eco-friendly. Its latest green initiative will be E-Waste Recycling.

E-Waste Recycling was created to stop toxic materials, found in nonusable electronic devices used every day, from polluting the world.Pocono Raceway will host an inaugural E-Waste electronics recycling and data deconstruction event on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Individuals who want to recycle their damaged or nonfunctioning electronics, no matter the size or weight, can do so in a safe and eco-friendly way.There will also be a data-destruction area, allowing any information to be discarded properly.Those who recycle items will receive a June 8 Saturday Grandstand ticket (two per car) and an entry to win tickets to the June 9 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.Companies, government agencies, school districts and other organizations are also invited.No item is too large. The organization with the most tonnage of recycled items will receive advertising space on the No. 25 ZLOOP Computer and Electronics Recycling stock car for the June 8 Pocono 200 ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards race at Pocono Raceway.
