April 11, 1983 Dave Keich gains four wins and sets two new school records, and Lori Lawson adds two firsts and sets a new field mark in Tamaqua's sweep of West Hazleton. Keich claims the high, long and triple jumps and also breaks the tape in the 300 hurdles as the Raiders roll to a 134-16 victory. Keich sets school marks in the high jump (6-5 ) and 300 hurdles (41.9). John Appicello also wins two events (1600, 3200), setting a new school record in the 3200 (10:40.3). In the girls meet, Lawson finishes first in the 1600 and 3200. Her 3200 time of 12:05.1 is a new Tamaqua field record. Other double winners for the Lady Raiders, who gain an 88-53 victory, include Becky Finley and Missy Schmer.
