Say yes to testing at Panther Valley

Panther Valley third, fourth, and fifth graders joined together to get ready for the PSSA tests that begin on April 9. Mary Figura, principal, enticed the students to do their best as she rode into the program on a scooter.

The scooter is only one of the many prizes set up for the top notch students who score proficient or advanced. The results will be announced in June. Figura said that she is hoping that businesses respond to her invitation to contribute to the cause, be either a monetary donation or a prize. Prizes include sports balls, skateboards, scooters, bikes, I Pods, and I Pads.Teachers who had the top amount of money were chosen to get a pie in their face. They were Johnna West, Mindy Penberth, Tara Yuricheck, Joe Sweeney and Tanya Drum. Total amount collected was $209.95.
