The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will meet Tuesday, April 9, 7 p.m. at Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown. The evening will feature Meeting the County Democratic Candidates including Judy F. Moon, who is running for Carbon County's Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans Court, and Ron Sheehan who is running for County Treasurer.

On Tuesday, May 14 there will be a Meet the Local Candidates meeting.The Club continues to collect canned goods at each meeting to benefit the Food Bank run by the Community Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches (CACPAC).The area covered by the Club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township.Meetings are monthly, the second Tuesday of the month, September to May, 7 p.m. at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.
