A committee of the American Hose Company in Tamaqua requested that Tamaqua Borough Council reopen the appropriations and to grant their company something to assist in the support of their horses and the janitor. The matter was referred to the fire committee. The fire company also asked that the engineer's desks, tables and supplies, as well as the water superintendent's desks, be moved to other quarters to provide an additional bedroom for the firemen. The request was granted.
