Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an assault incident that included a stabbing.

Police said on Tuesday, April 2, about 8:52 p.m. they were called to the emergency room of the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where a stab victim was being treated.On scene officers spoke to Nathaniel Speaks Jr., 20, and Eric Spencer Jr., 19, both of Long Pond. They stated they had been walking around the Pocono Farms Community, in Coolbaugh Township, when they were assaulted by two males.Speaks suffered a stab wound to his left leg while Spencer sustained abrasions and a cut on his lower lip. Both men did not know their attackers.The attackers were described as small in stature, possibly teenagers, with one black male and one white male.
