Slatington Woman's Club has named Sydney Martin as its Girl of the Month for April. She is the daughter of Tom and Lisa Martin of Slatedale.

A senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School, she has participated in the fall play, spring musical, concert choir, woman's select choir and she ran a theater program at the elementary school for fifth and sixth graders.She is interested in music, theater, psychology and helping people in any way she can.Sydney's future plans are to go to college and become either a psychotherapist or addictions counselor to help those in need.
