One person sustained a minor injury in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 10:03 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, along SR61 in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said John C. Schuster, 57, of Pottsville, was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck southbound while Cynthia C. Wemple, 51, of Elysburg, Northumberland County, was northbound driving a 1997 Subaru Impreza.As the two vehicles approached the intersection with Altamont Blvd., Schuster turned left in the path of Wemple and a collision occurred.Schuster was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Wemple and her passenger, Melissa Heintzelman, 27, also of Elysburg, were not injured.Schuster was cited for vehicle turning left.
