Juanita Mangan, 52, of Stroudsburg, is facing numerous charges - including driving under the influence - after she fled from the scene of a traffic stop in Monroe County at 2:18 a.m. March 30.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said she was pulled over for several traffic violations, after which time she backed her car towards the state police vehicle that pulled her over and fled from the scene of the stop.Police said a chase on the Neola Church Road, Effort-Neola Road and State Route 715 in jackson and Chestnuthill townships followed for approximately five miles. Police said another state police vehicle had deployed stop sticks in an attempt to halt the runaway vehicle, but the woman drove over the stop sticks, deflating all four of her tires. She continued northbound on Rt. 715 until being brought to a stop by a rolling road block.Police said after learning she was under the influence, she was removed from the vehicle and subsequently arraigned on charges for DUi, fleeing and eluding police and numerous summary traffic violations. She was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, in lieu of $1,000 bail.
