Major construction work is underway on Interstate 81 in Delano Township. The project, related to the ongoing Interstate 81 Bridge Rehabilitation Project, shifts the southbound lane of Interstate 81, just past the McAdoo exit (Exit 138), to the northbound side. Southbound traffic is then shifted back to the southbound lanes at the Delano exit (Exit 134). PennDOT encourages drivers to use caution and obey posted speed limits throughout the work zone. Later on in the project, the traffic pattern will be reversed (both directions of traffic on the northbound side) as construction workers do repairs to the southbound side of I-81. The estimated completion date is October 31, 2013.
