Men of Marian to hold 23rd Chinese Auction

The Men of Marian's 23rd Annual Chinese Auction will be held April 6 and 7 at Marian Catholic High School in Hometown. More than $200,000 in prizes will be awarded through the generosity of numerous businesses, as well as the parents, friends and families of Marian High School students from throughout Carbon, Schuylkill and Luzerne Counties.

Some of the larger prizes include a flat screen HD television, queen size sofa, a refrigerator, recliner, washer/dryer and an iPad. A preview night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 6., with the prizes set to be awarded beginning at 2:30 p.m. on April 7. "Polka Joe" Manjack will broadcast live from the high school from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Doors will open to the public at 11 a.m. on Sunday.All proceeds from the auction will benefit the students at Marian High School, such as student insurance, transportation needs, financial aid, athletics and maintenance costs.
