Mike Kobrick of La Crescenta, Calif., a native of White Bear, Summit Hill and a graduate of Lansford High School, left for Newcastle on Tyne, England, where he will attend a two-week NATO conference. Mike, an astro-physicist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, will spend a month touring England, Scotland, and France following the seminar. He completed his doctoral studies at UCLA recently and has been working for the past several years at JPL on lunar research.
