The theft of propane tanks is being investigated by state police at Fern Ridge.

Troopers said 12 tanks were taken from a storage unit at the Food Mart, located at 2604 Route 115, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. A master lock was cut to gain entry to the storage unit. The 20-pound tanks are valued at $60 each for a total value of $720.The theft occurred sometime between March 12 at 10 a.m. and March 18 at 6:45 p.m.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
