Edward Dugan, enterprising merchant on West Broadway in Jim Thorpe, has launched plans for the erection of a dairy mart on Rts. 29-45-209 (now Route 209) at the approach to Packerton. Equipment has been at work there in recent days leveling the ground so as to provide a highway level approach to the three-acre tract. Dugan hopes to have the business opened by Memorial Day. A well-known summer park concessionaire, he operated a scenic railway in recent years at Edgemont Park in Danielsville and Deer Trail Park, and plans to discontinue this phase of the business.
