March 28, 1980 Five Slatington track and field athletes post double wins in the Bulldogs' sweep of Southern Lehigh. In the boys' meet Dale Beck (100, shot put), Scott Schaffer (long and triple jumps) and Blaine Waylen (1600, 3200) all win a pair of events to aid a 99-50 victory. In the girls meet, multiple wins from Pam Peters (100 hurdles, long jump) and Glynnis Miller (100, 200) contribute to a 74-58 victory.
