Free Give and Take Day at Chestnuthill Twp. Park

Chestnuthill Township, in cooperation with Close the Loop, invites the public to Free Give and Take Day, Saturday, April 6 at Chestnuthill Township Park, Route 715, Brodheadsville. The Give part is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Take part is from 1-4 p.m.

Give and Take Days are a way to reuse items that are too good to throw away but you don't have a use for anymore. The public may bring reusable items between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then take away anything from 1-4 p.m. You don't have to bring something to take something.Examples of what you can bring are: furniture, household goods, pots/pans, books, CDs, toys, bric-a-brac, bikes, plants, kitchenware, garden tools, furniture (must be in good condition to be accepted,) gently used clothing, etc.Examples of things that will NOT be accepted: electronics, TV's, computer monitors, HHW, etc. Township residents can take electronics to the township recycling center at no charge.You must provide your own vehicle for transporting items.
