Pocono Mountain Regional Police on March 15 arrested Sean Patrick Griffin, 18, of East Stroudsburg, after he was initially stopped for speeding on Route 611 in Mount Pocono.

Police said they were conducting traffic enforcement measures when they timed him at 63.9

m.p.h. in a 30

m.p.h. zone. After stopping the car, police said they found Griffin to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said he provided officers with a false name because he believed he had several warrants issued in his name.In addition to the DUI and speeding charges, he was arrested for providing false information to law enforcement officers and underage drinking.Griffin was processed at the Monroe County DUI and Booking center and committed to the county's correctional facility in Snydersville.
