Fire company egg hunt

Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Co. will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Activities will take place rain or shine. Children and grandchildren of members who are ages 1-12 are invited to attend. Refreshments will be available.Weissport egg huntThe Weissport egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 for children and grandchildren of residents of Weissport in the borough park. The rain/snow date is Sunday, March 24.LAHS Class of 1968The Lehighton Area High School class of 1968 will hold the next reunion planning meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Lehighton Legion. Any class members who are interested are welcome to attend. The reunion will be held on Oct. 19.Trinity happeningsTrinity Lutheran Church will hold Palm Sunday worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 24. There will be Holy Communion and distribution of palm fronds. The Rev. Donald Hayn, interim pastor, will preside. Coffee house fellowship follows.Sunday School Power Hour students will take part in a palm procession around the block, followed by themed-crafts in Luther Hall starting at 10:15 a.m. Adult Sunday School class meets in the conference room.A community Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Luther Hall on Saturday, March 23. Children ages 1-6 will have their experience from 1-2 p.m., while the hunt for children 7-12, will be held from 2-3 p.m. This is a free event. Please remember to bring a basket to collect the eggs.A Spring Cantata "Here is Love" by Larry Shakley will be performed at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, by the church choir accompanied by a small orchestra. The performance is under the direction of Susan Lovejoy.Maundy Thursday worship features Holy Communion at 7 p.m. Students currently receiving instructions for communion will receive their First Holy Communion during the 7 p.m. worship service.
