State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened at 12:30 p.m. March 16 on Alcoa Street in Cressona.

Police said a 2003 Subaru Legacy was parked at the end of the street when an unknown vehicle struck it in the right rear while attempting to park or while attempting to turn around.Police said the operator of the vehicle that caused the damage failed to leave information and fled the scene.
