A Palmerton woman was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol after she got lost for two hours while picking up lunch for her co-workers.

Tiffany Jacoby, 25, of the 800 block of Princeton Avenue, and an employee of Gracedale, a Lehigh County nursing home, was arrested on March 4 by Lower Saucon Township police. Police said that she was headed to a Wawa to pick up the food when police saw her car parked in the middle of Lower Saucon Road near the Redington Road intersection.According to police, Jacoby said she was headed to Wawa for food for herself and co-workers.The nearest Wawa to Gracedale, is in Lower Nazareth Township, which is three miles away. There is no Wawa in the vicinity of Lower Saucon and Redington roads.While she was speaking to police they noticed a strong odor of alcohol. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests which she failed to pass.
