McAdoo police have cited a Hazleton woman for drug related charges following a traffic stop on Jan. 18.

Patrolman William Curilla was on patrol on Kennedy Drive, at 11:35 p.m., when he observed the tan Ford Taurus in front of him had the registration sticker located in the wrong place. He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Brittany Cunnington, 22, of 724 Alter St. A strong odor of marijuana wafted from the car's windows and Cunnington admitted smoking marijuana a short time earlier at a friend's house.She was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance and improper display of a validation sticker.
