A Schuylkill County motorcyclist, involved in a three-vehicle accident on Saturday, March 9, has died of injuries he sustained in the crash.

David John Guzick, 24, of Pottsville, died Tuesday, March 12, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. He was transferred to that hospital from the Reading Hospital, where he was taken by helicopter after the crash.The crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of SR443 and Dad Burnhams Road, in Washington Township, Schuylkill County.State police at Schuylkill Haven said Paul Swartz Jr., 53, of Schuylkill Haven, and Danielle Bevilacqua, 20, of Pine Grove, were both westbound on 443. Swartz slowed almost to a stop to turn left onto Dad Burnhams Road. Bevilacqua did not observe Swartz slowing and the front of her 2009 Mazda 3 hit the rear of Swartz's 2002 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck.Upon impact the S10 was pushed into the path of a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle which was operated by Guzick, who was eastbound at the time.Troopers noted Guzick was not wearing a helmet.
