Penn State Master Gardeners (Schuylkill County) will conduct the workshop "Preparing for the 2013 Growing Season" on March 16. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ag Center Conference Room 1202 Ag Center Dr., Pottsville.

Master Gardeners will share information on ways to get started and have a successful 2013 garden season. The day will be filled with information on soil needs and amendments, plant selection, types of seeds, planting tips, use of chemicals, good bugs versus bad bugs and more.Deadline for registration is March 8.
