Herndon was granted a divorce from John R. Herndon, both of Pottsville. They were married March 13, 2004.Cynthia Huber, Orwigsburg, was granted a divorce from Richard Huber, Pottsville. They were married Dec. 21, 1996.Kendi Monger, Minersville, was granted a divorce from Robert Monger, Hegins. They were married Feb. 25, 2006.Dawn C. Carl was granted a divorce from Kenneth Carl, both of Tower City. They were married May 7, 1988.Zoning permitsEight zoning permits were issued in January by the county zoning office with the estimated cost of construction set at $596,616. The county received $1,680 in fees. Ermert, Gordon, garage, $5,000; Jason Wolfgang, Eldred Township, agricultural pole barn, $10,000.Also, Joseph Heberling Jr., Pine Grove, garage with covered patio, $19,116; Minersville Area School District, restroom facilities at football field, $400,000; and Colin Abdiroglu, Union Township, single family dwelling, $30,000.Drop chargesClaiming the victim was not responding to any communications, District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon made a motion to nolle prosequi charges against Nicholas Baney, 22, Pottsville, and President Judge William E. Baldwin entered an order dismissing charges of unauthorized use of an automobile and driving while his license was suspended but placed the court costs on Baney. He was cited by Trooper Mark Demko of taking a pickup truck belonging to Gary Cuthie, Girardville.Bail hearingsKendall Wells, 20, Tower City, had his bail set at $10,000 percentage cash by Judge John E. Domalakes with stipulation he reside at 1112A E. Grand Avenue, Tower City, and must not relocate without prior court permission; must not possess nor consume alcohol or illegal drugs, and stay out of establishments serving alcohol. Also, must abide by a 9 p.m. curfew, remain employed and must have no contact with the victims in the case, Shawn Butler and David Turby. Wells was cited by Trooper James Sleboda last Jan. 13 and charged with robbery at the Econo Lodge, Suedberg, Pine Grove Township.
