A Schuylkill County driver was seriously injured early today in a one-vehicle crash.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Jamie Lee Gerber, 27, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo southbound on SR209, at Willing St., in Branch Township, about 2:50 a.m. when he attempted to turn onto Willing.Troopers said the front of the Jeep impacted with an ice mound. After impact the Jeep continued south off the road and impacted with an embankment with the front passenger side. It then overturned onto the passenger side coming to rest. Gerber was ejected through the front windshield and came to rest on a grassy area at 319 Willing St. He was flown from the scene by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of what troopers said were severe injuries.Troopers noted that Gerber was not wearing a seat belt. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
