Computer classes for seniors offered at Tamaqua Public Library

The Tamaqua Public Library, with partnership of the AARP Foundation, are providing free computer classes for seniors aged 50 and older.

The one-on-one classes, taught by Jeanne Marie Novack of Tamaqua, are open by availability and appointment only."They tell me what they want to learn and I teach them," said Novack. "I enjoy teaching them the basics about using the Internet, email, Facebook, music, printing things, Ebay and even coupons." Novack, who served four years in the Army, added, "Sometime I give them fun challenges to do while they are using their computer at home." For more information, contact the library at (570) 668-4660.
