OLOAA first graders learn about animals in winter

The first grade class at Our Lady of the Angels Academy recently learned about animals and how they are affected by the cold winter weather. As an extension of their lessons, the students created heart-shaped feeders to help feed birds and other small animals that are out looking for food at this time of year. They then hung the feeders on a tree outside of their classroom window so that they could observe the animals enjoying the food. Pictured by their feeders are, front row, from left, Shylah Fenstermaker, Caylen Murray, Elsie Heckman, and Robert Ellis-Williams. Second row: Riley McArdle, Dylan Newton, Angelo Greek, and Aleck Jewells. Back row: Stephen Behun, Albin Petschauer, Elijah Feisel, and Madison Miller.
