Outstanding warrant served in Tamaqua

A Tamaqua man was picked up on an outstanding warrant on Feb. 6.

Cpl. Dwayne Hacker was clearing up a noise complaint at 12:28 a.m. and was in the vicinity of Lafayette and Washington Streets. He observed one Tedd Richard Fredericks, 40, of 325 Washington St., Tamaqua, in the church parking lot, near the exit of the iron steps. Cpl. Hacker was aware of an outstanding warrant for Fredericks, who was wanted on a parole violation. Fredericks admitted knowing there was a warrant for his arrest.When the officer searched Fredericks to take him into custody, he found a small black bag with a plastic pipelike object and two small plastic bags filled with vegetable matter. Fredericks admitted the matter was marijuana.Due to the warrant, Fredericks was transported to and lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.He will also be charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
