On Wednesday night, the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) tipped-off its annual adult winter basketball league in the Tamaqua Elementary School gymnasium.

The triple-header was highlighted by Shawn's Construction knocking off three-time defending champion Ryan's Oil & Heating.Joey B's/Joe's Place-Lucky's DeliJoey B's/Joe's Place used a 14-0 run early in the game to take home a 58-42 victory over Lucky's Deli.Zach Freed scored 13 points to lead Joey B's/Joe's Place while Tom Kresge and Andy Steinmetz chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.For Lucky's Deli, Jack Buchinsky tallied a game-high 21 points, including three three-pointers.Cuz-N-Joe's-Batter's BoxBatter's Box placed five players in double-figures and took advantage of a short-handed Cuz-N-Joe's team, en route to a 70-57 victory.Jim Barron scored 14 points in his Batter's Box debut, while Erick Trabal tacked on 13 points. Aaron Mantz and Bejtullah Mehmeti both score 11 points apiece and Brock Mitchell added 10.Brandon DeCosmo paced Cuz-N-Joe's a game-high 24 points.
