A Delaware driver is facing a driving under the influence (DUI) charge in Jim Thorpe.

Borough police said on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, about 5:35 p.m. they stopped Gabriel L. Summa, 41, of 1010 Dover Ave., Elsmere, for a traffic violation in the area of 5 Lehigh Ave.He displayed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. Police said Summa admitted to smoking marijuana.He was placed under arrest and taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The test showed the presence of marijuana and also a .09BAC.He has been charged with three counts of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several summary traffic violations.
