The Blue Mountain Ski Area in Palmerton will play host to the Blue Mountain Health System's 2013 Charity Auction and Carbon County Ski Night slated for Sat., Jan. 26, from 4 p.m. to midnight.

During these hours, anyone from Carbon County or any resident of a contiguous county, can purchase a lift ticket for skiing, snowboarding or tubing from 4 p.m. until midnight for a discounted price of only $20. Employees of any of the event sponsors can purchase lift tickets for just $10 by showing proof of employment at the ticket windows. Lift tickets may be purchased beginning at 4 p.m. at the ski area.The events of the evening will feature a large basket raffle held in the Vista ballroom located in the main lodge on the mountain, as well as a smaller, "family friendly," basket raffle to be held just outside the Adventure Lodge near the tubing area. A fast and furious, 45-minute "Live" auction will begin at 8 p.m. Live entertainment for the event will be provided by Becky & the Beasts from 7 to 10 p.m. and an upscale dining option featuring gourmet food stations will be available for $25 per person from 6 to 9 p.m.Each year, the Blue Mountain Health System holds the auction and ski night to raise funds for the system.
