The First National Bank of Palmerton gave its old bank building to the Palmerton Free Library Association. The deed to the property at Fourth and Delaware Avenue was presented by Geza Holczman, chairman of the board of directors of the bank. The library has been operating from its new location since mid-September. Mrs. William Danneberg, librarian, said records indicate an increase in the number of persons using the library since it was moved a block and a half from its former location, the Palmerton Borough Hall. The move allowed the library to double its floor space and shelf capacity.
