The 2012 Fireman of the Year has been selected by a committee of firefighters from the Nesquehoning Hose Company #1. Named as the recent top-notch fireman is Joseph Starosta of Nesquehoning. Making the presentation is Brenden McArdle, president of the fire company; Mayor Tony Walck; recipient Starosta; and Fire Chief John McArdle. Each year the Nesquehoning firemen select a Fireman of the Year who best represents their fire company.
