An overflowing crowd was in attendance during the first performance of the Tamaqua Community Arts Center (TCAC) Acting Class.
The theatre show, titled "Musical Snippets. The Sound of Music. Gypsy and Into the Woods" involved comical humor and moments of song. Sophia Gursky, youth director and producer, stated they started practicing in October. She stressed her appreciation to all who participated, helped and got involved.RoseJean Zucuskie, youth advisor and TCAC volunteer, stated the youth did everything.For more information about acting classes and future performances, visit the TCAC website at tamaquaarts.org or the center's Facebook page.The cast consisted of Cierra Conahan as Gretel, Ms. Cratchet and the Narrator; Jacob Gursky as The Captain, Rose and The Baker; Sophia Gursky as Maria, Louise, The Witch and Jack's Mother; Iris Picone as Liesl, June, Little Red Riding Hood and The Baker's Wife; Mitchel Sabol as Kurt and the Wolf; Anette Retzko as Fredericka, Herby and Jack & Red's Grandmother; and Jake Wenzel as The Butler and stage crew.
