DUI arrest in Nesquehoning

Nesquehoning police reported on a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest.

Police said on Nov. 23, 2012, Officer Brian White was on patrol along SR209 (E. Catawissa Street) about 1:35 a.m. when he observed a vehicle turn into St. John's Cemetery.White followed the car into the cemetery and made a vehicle stop.The driver was identified as Lee Aaron Thear, 24, of 2 Sixth Ave., Nesquehoning.White smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage and noted Thear showed signs of intoxication.Thear was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, for a blood draw.The test result showed a .16BAC.
