Esther Ermlick, 23, of Palmerton, has been charged by Mahoning Township police with two counts of DUI, one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of general lighting requirements.

The charges stem from a traffic stop last June 14 at 9:47 p.m. near Beaver Run and Mauch Chunk Street for a traffic offense.Police said Ermlick was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and marijuana seeds. Results of a blood test showed the presence of marijuana.A preliminary hearing for Ermlick is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 20 before District Judge Edward M. Lewis of Jim Thorpe.
