DUI arrests reported

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers.

On Saturday, Jan. 5, troopers said a crash occurred along Chestnut Ridge Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Alfred Hadley, 26, of Kunkletown, was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle which went off the right side. The vehicle continued down an embankment before coming to rest.Hadley was taken into custody for suspected drunk driving after displaying signs of impairment, troopers said. He was taken to the barracks for a breath test. The DUI charge is pending.Also on Saturday, about 2:22 a.m., troopers stopped Heather Marie Dimitriou, 28, of Saylorsburg, along Gilbert Road, at Mill Pond Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI.On Saturday at 2:35 a.m. troopers stopped Ryan T. Miller, 30, of Lehighton, along SR248 at Center St., in Parryville, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. A DUI charge is pending, troopers said.At 10:28 p.m. Saturday Anthony M. Orio, 18, of Mount Laurel, N.J., was stopped along SR33 southbound in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, for a speeding violation. At the stop it was discovered that his passenger, Brian Z. Liejuris, 18, also of Mount Laurel, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Orio was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Liejuris is facing drug possession counts.On New Year's Day, about 8:31 p.m., troopers stopped Bruce E. Treadwell, 52, of Albrightsville, along SR209 at Hideaway Hill Road, in Polk Township, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and given field sobriety tests. Charges will be filed, troopers said.On Jan. 3, about 9:45 p.m., troopers stopped Deziary Cunningham, 25, of Lansford, along SR248 at State Rd., in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation. Troopers said they found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in her possession.The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers said.
