Vehicle accident at Hometown intersection

Two vehicles had to be towed following a motor vehicle accident that occurred around 6 p.m. yesterday at the intersection of Tide Road and SR309 in Hometown. Rush Township police reported that Kali Chrush, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire north on SR309 when she drove into the side of a 2001 Subaru making a turn from SR309 south onto Tide Road (Walmart intersection). The occupants of the Subaru were driver Marie Gallagher and passenger Vincent Gallagher, both of Lansford. Responding in addition to police were Hometown Fire Company and fire police. Patrolman Adam Sinton is the investigating officer. No serious injuries were reported. Firefighters added that accidents are starting to be routine at this intersection.
