Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at 5 p.m. on Jan. 5, with the Rev Michael Frost presiding.There will be a 9 a.m. Jan. 6, Epiphany Sunday worship with Holy Communion. Epiphany comes from a Greek word meaning "to show, make known or reveal." This church festival is a time to honor the arrival of the Magi to worship the baby Jesus. Jan. 6 is the 12th day after Christmas. Presiding is the newly appointed interim minister, the Rev. Donald Hayn. Coffee house fellowship follows. Sunday School for ages 3 through grade 12 will not meet Jan 6. Classes resume Jan 13.Due to the New Year holiday, Quiet Communion will be observed at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.In the event of inclement weather, look for cancellations on TV 13 and WFMZ TV. A recorded message will be placed on the church office phone at (610) 377-4303, within two hours of the worship time.Beltzville LionsBeltzville Lions will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Club members are reminded that this is a "bring a friend meeting."LAHS class of 1978Lehighton Area High School class of 1978 will hold a class reunion planning meeting at Sapore Restaurant, Lehighton, at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7 to plan the 35-year class reunion.
