A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges following a vehicle stop, and chase. State police at Frackville said the incident began about 8:51 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31.

According to troopers a vehicle stop was made in the area of SR209 at Water St., in New Philadelphia. The driver was identified as a Michael John Setlock Jr., 39, of Middleport. While troopers were attempting to identify him Setlock fled in his vehicle. A one mile chase ensued with Setlock's vehicle getting struck in the snow.He then fled on foot and a foot chase ensued with Setlock being caught and tasered. He was taken to the barracks and fingerprinted which showed he had an active warrant for his arrest issued to the state parole board.Setlock was lodged in the state prison at Mahanoy on the active warrant. Troopers will charge him with fleeing and eluding and related counts.New Philadelphia police assisted troopers.
