Lake Harmony fire company hosts craft fair

The beautiful weather this past Saturday brought out tourists and local residents alike to the Lake Harmony Volunteer Firehouse.

The Fall Craft Fair was organized by Maureen Kennedy, fire company trustee and fundraising chair, and Madelyn Creegan, fire company secretary."We hope to make this an annual affair," Kennedy said. "We were hoping for about 20 vendors and we ended up with 22 so we are pleased."In addition to crafts, a variety of food was available for those who wished to eat in or get it to go.As part of their payment for a display space, each vendor also donated a craft to the tricky tray auction, helping to raise even more money for the fire company.Organizers combined the craft fair with a similar event taking place at Pine Point Plaza, by creating a "passport." Once the passport was stamped at both events they were put entered into a raffle for a Keurig coffee maker with 80 K-Cups.
