MMI Preparatory School announces top students

Thomas G. Hood, head of school at MMI Preparatory School, Freeland, has announced the names of students who have been named to the President's List during the second semester.

The President's List recognizes sound academic performance each semester. To be included on the list, a student must have a cumulative average in all subjects of 85.0, have attained an average of 70.0 or better in each course, have no "incompletes" at the end of each nine-week grading period, be enrolled in a complete schedule of courses, and have a satisfactory citizenship record.

The following local students have earned President's List recognition for the second semester of the 2012-2013 school year:

12th grade: Casey McCoy, White Haven; Casey Olszewski, Weatherly; Devon Sherwood, Lehighton; Gregory Yannes, White Haven.

11th grade: Alexander Haber, Tresckow; Hannah Lesitsky, Albrightsville; Eleni Moustardas, White Haven; and Kaitlyn Sitch, Weatherly.

10th grade: Gabriellia Becker, Lake Harmony; and Kelsy Donaldson, White Haven.

Ninth grade: Shaelyn Heft, Lehighton; Allison Maso, White Haven; Sarah Moyer, Bowmanstown; Jessica Pileggi, Albrightsville; and Nash Wenner, Palmerton.

Seventh grade: Lauren Babinetz, Jim Thorpe; and John Malay, Jim Thorpe.

Sixth grade: Elise Hreha, White Haven; and Cole Smith, White Haven.
