Burglary, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Evalynn L. Kuehner, 52, of 974 Municipal Road, in East Penn Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said forced entry was made to the home through a side window.

Once inside the criminals removed a 12 string guitar and a metal garbage can. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 24-26.

Troopers are probing a theft incident at the residence at 232 Hemlock St., Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Removed from the property was a paddle boat from the canopy, undetermined amount of copper piping, a Stihl 24-inch chainsaw, two Stihl chainsaws in their cases, a 12-foot "A" frame ladder, 200 feet of electrical line, six heavy duty outdoor extension cords, and multiple shovels.

The incident occurred sometime between May 1 and Nov. 30, 2012, troopers said.

The property owner is Teresa A. Livingston, 52, of Reading.
