State police at Lehighton are investigating theft incidents, including one in which a large amount of cash was taken.

Charles Henry Meek Jr., of 154 Highpoint Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone entered his unlocked Hyundai Elantra while parked in the driveway of his home, and removed $1,700 in cash, a Garmin GPS unit and a black leather wallet.The incident occurred sometime between March 14-16.A 32-year-old male of Weir Mountain Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed a license plate from his trailer while parked on his property. The state registration plate number is XHM-5502.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 610-377-4270.
