3 escape injurieswhen car rolls over

A woman and two children, ages 3 and 4, escaped injuries when a car rolled over in a crash that happened at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 24 in the Burma Road in Mahanoy Township, near the Interstate 81 overpass.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Anisa Kane, 25, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve in the roadway. The car traveled across the southbound lane and struck a utility pole, then rolled over and came to rest on its wheels on the western berm, facing north.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Kane will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
