A Jim Thorpe woman is facing a drug count following an incident that occurred on March 13.
Jim Thorpe police said about 1:20 p.m. they were dispatched to 129 South St., Apt. 6, to assist emergency personnel. A female had been using a needle to inject herself with heroin and the needle broke in her arm.On arrival police made contact with Kaylea Nicole Basile, 21, of that address. She admitted using a hypodermic needle to inject heroin. Police seized the needle.Basil was transported to the Lehighton hospital for treatment. She has been charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
